Create Barcode Configurations
The foundation of system relies on a flexible "Barcode Config" record. Navigate to the App Launcher and select the "Barcode Configs" tab. Here, you define the logic by selecting any Target Object (Standard like Lead/Contact or any Custom Object) and mapping it to a specific Data Field (such as Email, Serial Number, or URL). You can select from over 100+ industry-standard formats—including QR Codes, Code 128, Data Matrix, and UPC—ensuring complete compatibility with your existing hardware scanners.
Lightning App Builder Integration
Deploying the solution requires zero Apex coding. Utilizing the native Salesforce Lightning App Builder, simply navigate to your desired Record Detail Page and select "Edit Page." Locate the "Barcode & QR Code Generator" custom component in the left-hand sidebar and drag it onto your canvas. The component is fully responsive and can be placed anywhere—within the highlights panel, a sidebar tab, or the main content area—to best fit your users’ workflow.
