About AppColab

We build software your business actually runs on.

AppColab is a small, senior engineering studio. We design, ship and operate Salesforce orgs, AI products, web and mobile apps, and the cloud platforms underneath them — for teams who care about what gets shipped on Friday, not what got presented on Monday.

Our story

A studio, not an agency. Built to ship.

AppColab started in 2013 with a simple frustration: the industry was full of consultancies that could draw an architecture diagram but could not deliver software, and full of agencies that could ship fast but not safely. We wanted to build the firm we wished existed for our own work — small, senior, opinionated, and in the trenches with our clients.

Today we are a distributed team of engineers, architects and designers. We work with funded startups, mid-market operators and platform teams inside larger companies. The common thread is ambition: every team we partner with is trying to ship something they have not shipped before, and they want a partner who will sweat the details with them.

We deliberately stayed small. Every engagement is led by a partner-level practitioner who stays in the work. Our junior engineers earn their seat over years, not weeks. And we say no — to projects we cannot do well, to scope that would set a client up to fail, and to short-term wins that would leave a long-term mess.

What we believe

The values that shape every engagement.

Honest before optimistic

We will tell you what is hard, what is risky and what we do not know. The first sign you have hired the wrong partner is a meeting where everything is "no problem".

Senior, not seniors-on-paper

Every line of code, every diagram and every architectural decision is signed off by an engineer who has shipped that pattern in production before.

Boring tech, well done

We will pick Postgres before we pick the new toy. Cleverness goes into the design of the system; the components themselves should be ones you can hire for.

Outcomes over outputs

We measure the quarter by what changed for the business, not by how many story points moved across a board. If a project is not earning its place, we say so.

Treat the client like an owner

You own everything we ship — code, designs, docs, infra. You can fire us next Tuesday and keep moving. That constraint keeps us honest.

Work where good engineers live

We are distributed across North America, Europe and APAC, with strong hours overlap between them. We schedule around your team, not the other way around.

How we work

How we run an engagement.

01

Discovery is paid, fixed, and yours

Every engagement starts with a fixed-price discovery sprint. You walk away with a written plan — architecture, scope, sequencing, price ceiling — that is yours regardless of whether we keep working together.

02

Working software every Friday

Once we are building, you see real software in your environment every two weeks. No 9-month waterfalls, no quarterly status decks. If something is at risk, you know about it the same week.

03

A clean exit, by design

We hand over runbooks, tests, and docs your team can own. Where contracts allow, we train your engineers alongside us. Hiring us should make your team stronger — not more dependent.

Milestones

A few moments along the way.

2013

Founded

AppColab opens its doors with a single mission: ship the kind of software the founders wished was easy to hire for.

2016

Salesforce practice forms

We become a Salesforce-native partner, taking on our first end-to-end implementations and rescue engagements across Sales and Service Cloud.

2019

Cloud + product engineering

AWS / GCP work and modern web product builds become full practice areas. We start co-building products with funded startups from zero.

2022

AI practice opens

We ship our first production RAG assistants and agentic workflows, with an evals-first methodology that became the backbone of the practice.

2025

Today

~30 engineers, architects and designers. 120+ projects delivered. Still small on purpose, still senior on purpose, still shipping every Friday.

If this sounds like the partner you've been looking for, let's talk.

Book a 45-minute discovery call. Bring a problem, a roadmap, or a half-built prototype. You'll leave with sharper thinking — even if you decide we are not the right team.
